Finally this blog has gotten a better look, even though I haven’t really had time to go through and update the content on my pages. But at least I’ve managed to find a wordpress theme that I like and I’ve also brought my Tumblr blog back to life and made it to my Swedish blog.
Besides having way too many accounts on a ton of social media services out there, more aggregated blog/site services pop up and lurk for my attention. Services that enable me to have even more websites containing and aggregating all the other stuff I do online. I’m on Qwerly, Flavors.me and I’ve also reserved my name (lindapierre) on About.me and not to forget “good old” Friendfeed (that I wonder if anybody uses anymore?).

I must say that so far I think Flavors.me is the service that attracts me most, even though I’ve only got a free account which means I can’t customize my page that much. But the question still remains, do one person really need all these “digital platforms”? Since I work with new media I try out a lot of these kinds of services, but do I really use them at the end…not so sure about that. But it can’t hurt to register usernames and to try them out (besides waisting some time…).

What other “blogs/sites” like these do you use and why? Are they a way for you to still have a blog but not actually having to write on one but just to aggregate your Twitter feed, photos, videos etc? I guess that time is something people don’t have much of today (at least that’s what they think) and therefor these typ of services come in handy. Let me know what you think, is this the future of blogging or one of many services for sharing that is popular for the time being?

Update 2010-12-16
Today I recieved an invite for About.me and created my own about.me page. It looks really nice. Much like Flavors.me but the big difference I think is the way my feeds are being presented. The stream from my Tumblr blog for instance doesn’t look at all that good in About.me as it does in Flavors.me. I do like though that I could pick from a number of fonts without having to pay for it as I had to in Flavors.me.
