Gör din röst hörd på riktigt

Jag sprang på den nylanserade tjänsten AudioBoo i mitt Twitter-flöde och blev lite nyfiken. AudioBoo är en tjänst som låter dig spela in ljud som du sedan enkelt automatiskt kan sprida vidare på sajter som Facebook, Twitter, Friendfeed mm. Antingen gör du det direkt på sajten eller via deras iPhone applikation. Kanske vill du variera dina blogginlägg och få in lite andra komponenter som ljud och video på din blogg? Eller så kanske du inte har en blogg då du inte är den “skrivande-typen”?

Jag tror och hoppas på att fler liknande tjänster både inom ljud och video kommer göra så att allt fler väljer att uttrycka sig på dessa sätt. Själv föredrar jag absolut att titta på ett videoklipp istället för att läsa informationstext och många gånger kan det vara både trevligare och mer underhållande (vilket gör att jag fortsätter lyssna) att lyssna på när någon eller några pratar om ett ämne. Själv tycker jag om att lyssna på podcasts då jag är på väg någonstans som i ett plan eller på tåget eller varför inte ute och går.

När tjänsterna bli enklare att använda och då fler inser möjligheterna med mobil kommunikaiton och produktion som denna så tror jag absolut att vi kommer få se mer av tjänster som AudioBoo i framtiden.

Ljudet blev lite hackigt och konstigt i början men i mitten och mot slutet tar det sig. Vet inte om det berodde på alla min flikar i Firefox kanske… Tjänsten är helt ny så några små buggar får man ju räkna med. Idéen i sig dock tycker jag är intressant nog för att fortsätta hålla koll på utvecklingen.

I’v signed the climate petition and I’m therefor a citizen of Hopenhagen. Hopenhagen is a world online were there’s still hope for a better world, by signing you tell the world what gives you hope. These “voices” from people all around the world will be a part of the UN Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen December 07 to 18.

Follow Hopenhagen on Twitter (and use the hashtag #hopenhagen if you tweet about it) and Facebook. And also if you write a blog check out my post about Blog Action Day on October 15.

Videofy.me

I found out about this new video site recently (via the Swedish blog Beta Alfa) called Videofy.me

It’s basically a service that let’s you record and upload videos and then attaches an ad to it all. They then share all ad revenue 50/50 with the content creators. This very much reminds me of Revver, another video site that also try to let you earn money on your videos. I’m not sure but I don’t think the service is a huge success, I haven’t heard anything about it for a few years now. This doesn’t of course mean that Videofy.me can’t make a better more attractive service.

It seems like Videofy.me is aiming towards mobile video content and videos that don’t need any editing (well…). I must say I do have a little hard time to understand how people want to watch mobile video content that for the most of the time isn’t that great. If you take a look at both 12seconds.tv and Robo.to (4 seconds…and for me no sound…) and other mobile video streaming services like Bambuser and Qik it’s hard to find really good and interesting content. At least that’s my opinion. Most people aren’t that good at making unedited mobile video interesting for anyone else but their friends to watch.

I like the user interface of Videofy.me very much though and I absolutely think video will be the next big thing to be embraced by people as long as it’s not too complicated. Wish I guess is exactly what the people behind Videofy.me are trying to do.

So far the service is only available in Sweden and you need to apply for an account. The fact that they use a .me domain is something I love, maybe because we at Urban Lifestyle also have a .me video project going on…. Stay tuned and I’ll tell you more. :)

The Pact – crowdsourcing movie making

I stumbled upon a project (and an upcoming movie) called “The Pact Project“. The whole idea is to create a movie with the help of you people out there. You can contribute by for instance commenting dialogs, come up with ideas for the story or by supporting the project with a donation.

I think it’s a very interesting idea and I must say I was a bit surprised when I saw that it was a Swedish crew behind it. Finally a use of social media and video that doesn’t scream marketing and viral videos but that actually want’s to do something new and exciting. Not something I’ve seen a lot from other Swedish brands, companies or people in general for that fact.

I love the remixing part of it all and that the movie will be available for filesharing. I really hope they get the attention they deserve and that people actually contribute in different ways. Looking forward in seeing the results!
