Launched today: Svisp – Svenskar i Spanien

Today we at Urban Lifestyle launched a new site in Swedish called Svisp – Svenskar i Spanien. It’s about Swedes living in Spain. Since we ourselves are a lot in Spain at the moment due to a few upcoming projects we realized that it would be interesting to write and do videos about other Swedes in Spain.

Välkomstvideo för Svisp.se from Urban Lifestyle on Vimeo.

Besides the blog one of the most important parts of Svisp is Svisp TV, a Internet show about … yes you guessed it, Swedish people living in Spain. I will mostly do video interviews with other fellow Swedes to ask them why they moved here, what they do here and if there are any spots or places one shouldn’t miss if you would come and visit their new hometown. We’ll see what more Svisp TV will contain. Head over to the Facebook page to come up with suggestions and make your voice heard. You’ll find all our videos on Svisp’s Vimeo channel.

We also want to gather other type of information that Swedish people living in Spain (or about to) could be interested in. Like for instance which other Swedish bloggers that live in Spain and blog about their life here, Swedish companies and organisations active in Spain. We will also arrange small informal events, at the beginning only in Barcelona but hopefully we’ll be able to have meetups in other parts of Spain too. Too make sure you don’t miss an upcoming event, join us on our Facebook page.

We have a few “features” and parts of Svisp that isn’t launched yet. Are you in any way interested in what we do and want to reach this particular target group, send me an email at svispmail@gmail.com and we’ll talk! :)

You can besides joining us on Facebook and watching the Svisp TV episodes on Vimeo, also follow Svisp on Twitter and take a closer look at our Svisp pictures at Flickr.

For all of you Swedes out there that live in Spain or thinking about moving there I hope you’ll enjoy the site and contact me!

T-post: Wear a magazine and get a unique t-shirt

Ok this is one of the coolest things I have discovered online lately. And when I saw that it was a Swedish idea I got really proud. :)

T-post is “the world’s first wearable magazine”. You actually wear the post like a t-shirt. But that’s not the coolest thing about it. For every post they people behind the idea write they send it to a graphical designer who then makes a graphic design out of it which is printed on the t-shirt. The post itself is also printed but on the inside of the t-shirt.

To get your hands on one of these also really good looking t-shirts you should sign up at their homepage since you won’t be able to find it in any store. You can of course also follow them on their blog, Twitter, Facebook and Youtube.

We live in public

Last week on the flight to Stockholm I listened to an episode of Net@Night (part of the Twit-network) with Leo Laporte and Amber MacArthur.

As always the show was very interesting. This time though the show was a bit different, usually they talk about different tech headlines and invite one quest for an interview as a part of the show. This time the whole show was that interview. I understand why they couldn’t only make it a part of the rest since it was so interesting.

I won’t tell you what the whole interview was about (you’ll have to listen to it yourselves) but they talked to some of the people behind the upcoming movie “We live in public“. For sure it made me very eager to go and see it. Unfortunately though it seems like it will only be screened in the US, at least for now. I guess it will be possible to find it online though for people like me that have a hard time waiting…

“The Bunker” sounds and looks like a really scary place and the fact that I’m blogging about this, sharing it in my Twitter feed and probably also on Facebook makes me a part of it all doesn’t it. Internet can be a beauty but it can also be very scary and make me think about shut down, get offline and start growing vegetables on a farm far away from all this sharing and caring. One thing I do think this movie will do is to make all of us that sees it think about what we are doing online and if it really makes us feel good or if it is making us a bit mad…

If you want to follow We live in public – the movie to see what’s going on and when the movie will be available to you, they use all kinds of social media tools there are out there:

- Flickr
- Facebook
- Wikipedia
- Youtube

Video in my backyard

I’m a big fan of online video, as you probably have noticed if you looked at some of my latest blog posts. Anyhow, I ran into this site called Vimby.com today and I thought I would share it with you.

I like this site because you can find sort of “underground videos” or as they say themselves in their tagline “Video in my backyard”. The site all kinds of videos, some of the categories are Art, Fashion, Music and Nightlife. As I can tell it’s only videos from and by people living in the US. Actually it reminds me a little bit of what we at Urban Lifestyle are thinking about doing…
