Google pins (?) and Twig

It’s amazing how Google never gets boring, there’s always something bloggers or journalists can write and talk about when it comes to Google. Now they even have a podcast that will be all about (at least almost) Google from the Twit-team called Twig (This week in Google).

I came across this picture when I looked through my RSS-feeds. Apparently there’s a lot of huge Google-looking pins placed around the city of Tokyo. Whether it actually is Google that is behind these giant pins seems to be a bit unclear but either way I like them :) Wouldn’t it be cool if they were some sort of boards that would let people who visit that particular place to record in video what they experienced? And then that could sync up to Google maps.
